the meaning behind this madness
The description for this blog says that it’s pointless. Well, that’s a lie. It does have a purpose, and that is this: We are all a little crazy. Nobody is really “normal.” Normal is a myth. It doesn’t exist. I say fuck normal.
Everyone has quirks and hangups — however big or small they may be. Too many people try to hide their so-called hangups from the rest of the world. But why? These are the things that make us interesting. The most colorful people are the ones who embrace their quirks and love themselves for exactly who they are. And I think that maybe if we all tried to understand and embrace our inner craziness, there’s a possibility that it could help make a more compassionate, understanding world for those who suffer from more serious mental illnesses. Who knows? Maybe you suffer from a serious mental illness and just haven’t been diagnosed yet. I think there’s a pretty good chance that a lot of people do. I also think it’s time we all realized there is absolutely nothing wrong with having a mental illness. It’s time to throw away the negative stigma!
So, to sum it up: This blog is meant to be light-hearted and fun, but my hope is that by sharing my own crazy inner thoughts, it might help others feel a little more comfortable sharing theirs.
